Hidden River Security Forces provide security services to our clients: Commissioned officers may be required to serve in a non-Commissioned Officer position (Unarmed) due to customers' needs. Duties require standing at a guard post, walking through site properties, and could include entering client site buildings.

 

Job Skills / Requirements

 

This is a Full and Part-Time position, Available Shifts, and Weekends.

 

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

 

Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary

 

Performing building walk-through, lockup and unlock, lockout, escort, parking enforcement, and other duties as assigned by each building. Greets and assists arriving tenants, visitors, and guests within an assigned site with discreet, exceptional customer service skills.

Serves as a visible uniformed deterrent to inappropriate and/or illegal activity on an assigned post or site.

 

Serve as an attentive, highly visible point-of-contact for arriving and departing site employees and/or residents, as applicable, as well as for customers, visitors, and after-hour occupants. Provides courteous assistance, directions, and escorts, as allowed, in response to requests.

 

Commissioned Officers must have the following;

 

  • Currently Commissioned with the Department of Public Safety (DPS), and have an active and unexpired Commissioned license

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • Have at least 1 year of verifiable Full-Time security experience and two work references 

  • Have no disqualifying criminal history

  • Must be physically fit and capable of performing the tasks required of the position 

  • Must have and maintain a neat and professional appearance 

  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions 

  • Must have a strong aptitude for safety and situational awareness 

  • Must be proficient in speaking, and writing in English 

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen test

  • Must be available to start training within 2 weeks of passing the drug screen test 

  • Must have a reliable vehicle

  • Knowledge of law related to security.

  • Must have their own duty belt. (We do not supply your weapon (9mm handgun))

 

Education Requirements 

 

High School Diploma/GED, College diploma a plus. 

 

Certification Requirements

 

LEVEL II NON-COMMISSION (TX DPS)

LEVEL III COMMISSION (TX DPS)

 

Preference will be given to 

 

  • Men and Women Veterans of the US armed forces.

  • Current, Former, or Retired Peace Officers; Special consideration may exist for the exemption of the Level III training requirements for current, former, or retired Peace Officers who are not currently licensed. Those who are full-time peace officers, certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), may be exempted from the Level III training requirements upon submission to DPS a sworn affidavit attesting to the applicant's review of and familiarity with the Act and the related administrative rules. Those who are retired must have been honorably retired as Texas peace officers within the preceding two (2) years may be exempted from the Level III training requirements.

  • Security Officers with at least three years previous Security Officer experience
